7 Days Kerala Tour Itinerary – Trichy to Cochin

Destinations Covered: Trichy → Munnar → Thekkady → Trivandrum → Varkala → Alleppey → Cochin

Day 1: Trichy Pickup – Drive to Munnar (Approx. 340 km / 7.5 hrs)

  • Our representative will pick you up from Trichy Airport / Railway Station / Hotel.

  • Enjoy a scenic drive through the Western Ghats with lush greenery, waterfalls, and spice plantations.

  • On arrival at Munnar, check into your hotel/resort.

  • Evening free for leisure – stroll through the local market or tea shops.
    Overnight stay at Munnar

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour:

    • Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai) – home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr.

    • Tea Museum & Tea Factory – learn about Kerala’s world-famous tea.

    • Mattupetty Dam & Echo Point – enjoy boating and panoramic views.

    • Kundala Lake (optional activities available).

  • Return to hotel in the evening.
    Overnight stay at Munnar

Day 3: Munnar → Thekkady (Approx. 110 km / 4 hrs)

  • After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, famous for wildlife and spice plantations.

  • Check in at resort. Later, enjoy:

    • Boat ride in Periyar Lake to spot elephants, deer, and birdlife.

    • Spice Plantation Tour – discover Kerala’s rich spice heritage.

Day 4: Thekkady → Trivandrum (Approx. 270 km / 7 hrs)

  • Morning drive through scenic routes to Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala.

  • Check in at hotel. Later visit:

    • Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple (famous for its architecture & history).

    • Napier Museum & Zoo.

Day 5: Trivandrum → Varkala (Approx. 45 km / 1.5 hrs)

Day 6: Varkala → Alleppey (Approx. 130 km / 4 hrs)

  • Drive to Alleppey, the Venice of the East.

  • Check into a traditional Kerala Houseboat (or resort).

  • Cruise through serene backwaters, paddy fields, and coconut groves.

  • Relish authentic Kerala meals on board while experiencing village life.

Day 7: Alleppey → Cochin Drop (Approx. 55 km / 1.5 hrs)

  • After breakfast, check out and proceed to Cochin.

  • If time permits, explore:

    • Fort Kochi – Chinese fishing nets & colonial charm.

    • Jew Town & Mattancherry Palace.

  • Drop at Cochin International Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey.
